I've still been doing a real lot of work on these fake IDs to keep busy, and the one I've got now for Remus just might pass all but the most scrutinising eye. It's pure dead brilliant.
Think I might be able to set up a business for this now - anyone else here need one? Any of you lot know someone who needs an ID?

It's about useless reading my tea-leaves these days. Says mortal peril for every person I read it for save Ghandi. I even pick random names out of the newspapers and all I get is mortal peril.
Seems to work fine for about everything else though - I've gotten accurate weather readings for the past three days and it even told me where I'd find my lost Spellotape.

I've made more of the buttons I brought to James' Equality Party. I found the buttonmaker and the charms are simple enough, so it was just a spur-of-the-moment thing but I think they might be pretty braw for our boycotts. I've got four of them - I support ALL Wizardkind, What About Muggleborn Women, Children and Families, I Boycott - this one cycles through all the shops, and My Neighbors are Muggleborn.
There's a buttload of them all made up and sitting at the safehouse and I can make more if we need them. If you've got any ideas for more things to put on them let me know. Might as well make myself useful
I'm still working on IDs and all that too, so if you can get me any more numbers that'd be great. Marlene's got a fake one I made but it's not the best and I'm not sure if the code's perfect. Still completely stumped on the shields too, since I haven't got enough information.
If you've got anything you want me to do, let me know. Nice to keep busy when I'm not at work.

Just wanted to thank you again for letting me stay with you two. I don't want to intrude too much so if you want me out just let me know. I'm still working to get things sorted with what I'm going to do with my house and longterm, but Dem always handled that sort of thing though I do know we I owe enough money on the house that it's almost not worth selling.
Point is, I'm meeting with my dad tomorrow to go over things, though I don't know how much help he can offer now that Ma's out of a job - not too smart to work in the Muggle world these days I guess. Rubbish because she loves those ickle children.
Still feel like I've been intruding too long but I do really appreciate it.

I'm back at home. I've been here since about three-thirty or four but I took a Dreamless Sleep Potion and went to sleep for a while and now I've had a few calming draughts
Demetrius is dead. They sent some Hitwizards and they said he was dead and then they took my wand and took me back with them to the Ministry and I saw a Mediwizard who got rid of all the fur and the ears and everything and then I had to sit in this room and tell them everything.
I told them that at first I thought he was having an affair because he would leave sometimes with really bad excuses and sometimes I'd wake up in the middle of the night to find him gone, so we started going to marriage counselling at the Foundation Cenre in Hogsmeade, but then I started to notice weird things like he had the ingredients for Polyjuice one day in his robe pocket and then they were gone the next day. So then he was gone when the Library was destroyed I was really suspicious and I confronted him and we got into a row and I told them all the details except that what he was saying to me was what I said to him and that he attacked me and it was only self defense and
They told me his name was already on their list because he fooled around with his ID (which was really me and Damocles) and that the spells on our wands checked out and that I'd done a good thing and they were sorry about it all and that I should go to the Foundation for more counselling.
I'm going to have another calming draught and go to Damocles'.
Do you think you could tell the Order for me? I don't think I can do it.

I don't know what I'm going to do.
This is the biggest downside of not telling my husband, but I'd just figured I deal with it when it happened and now that it's happened I don't know how to deal with it. I've been here at the safehouse since Friday and now it's practically Wednesday and I don't know what to tell him. I've disappeared for a few days before after we had a row but we didn't and
I don't know if it's the pain potions or what but I can't think of any sort of excuse. And I don't think I can tell him.
If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate them right now. Or pot.

So it was in the paper, now we're not permitted to serve anyone without an ID card. Fucking bullshit, I say, and the Postmaster isn't too happy neither. That's a bit of an understatement - he goes out of his way to hide whatever his political views are from work, but he really hates it when the Ministry (old or new) sticks its nose into our business.
Upside to this is maybe they'll teach us how to check if the IDs are fakes - or anything else useful about them. Could certainly be useful. Postmaster wants to meet with me and the other assistant postmasters about tomorrow - I'll let you know then what I find out.
Golly there are a lot of changes these days. It all seems reasonable enough though - just hope I'm being paid overtime for all this.
On the bright side, Dem miraculously made reservations for tonight. Might be the first time since we were dating that he's even remembered Valentine's Day, so I'm real excited. This is braw.

So I didn't know until I saw her and Alice writing that Meaghan's with Caradoc so yeah I get now why she'd be real upset but, honestly folks, this is the Order of the Phoenix not the Order of Scared Folk Who Sit Around And Complain About What's Going On in the World These Days and Do Nothing. P-H-O-E-N-I-X. You know - we get knocked down and then we just get up again.
I know this shit's scary and I know I'm not really one to talk since I haven't gone and done much that's risky but you don't see me yelling at Damocles not to do anything ever. That's rubbish. Am I right or am I right?

Nothing suspicious looking in the Foundation buildings yet. I'm really only in a few rooms and it's all "normal" stuff but I keep my eyes and ears open. I also make sure to read my tea leaves before I go each time. They didn't look good one day so I feigned sick. Don't want to take any chances.
Also who else just wants to punch this Nott bloke in his gob? How much do you want to bet he'll win and all our "votes" won't actually count for shit? Whole "democratic election" is probably a load of rubbish.

Dem turned me into a yak. My husband turned me into a YAK. MY IDIOT HUSBAND TURNED ME INTO A YAK AND LEFT ME IN DIAGON ALLEY.
I ended up in Eeylops. LUCKILY. The owner grabbed me off the street until I just turned back. Of course, I didn't realise it was the next day when I woke up so I went back to work and the postmaster about had a fit when he saw me. You came looking yesterday? He's mad as all hell that the rest of the workers were so unhelpful - with every right. I'm about to lose the rag too.
Should have contacted you before but I came home and went straight to bed hoping it would calm me down a bit. Didn't see any of the journal stuff about me until just now.

Damocles and I (and Dem too) got our IDs today. Didn't really have a problem, which is good. Damocles and I are going to see what sort of spells these things have on them if we can, but he's in the loo and you lot want to know what's going on.
We got to the Atrium of the Ministry and there were a bunch of tables with a tonne of papers on them where you go up, give them your paper and answer some questions about yourself. They weigh your wand then you sit and wait and they have tea if you want it and biscuits.
Some people stand around and ask if you want to register to vote and then they call your name and you get your ID.
The whole thing is real suspicious.
I tried to keep my eyes out for them taking people anyplace else for some reason or another but either they were real sneaky or they didn't do it. Seems fairly legit, which is what is so suspicious about it.
Dem went to bed since he's got to work early and Damocles stayed over for dinner so I've swiped Dem's ID and we're going to fiddle around with it. If I find anything interesting I'll let you know.

That was a real nice service yesterday. I'm sure she would have thought it was real braw.
Dunno if you've heard yet, but they're going to make everyone get identification cards. For "safety." Sounds more like a way for them to track us. Other than "for safety" they haven't said what they're for, but I'm guessing leaving and getting back into the country and any official Ministry business and all.
Big brother's watching us. My tea leaves don't like this.

How are you holding up?
Goodness! All this excitement lately in the government and all (rotten as it all sounds - and every new paper says something worse, it's just lunacy) is pretty braw for business, I'd say. Don't remember when we've had this many people in the Post Office aside from Christmas and Halloween in years. We keep running out of supplies then I have to work late to wait for the deliveries.
Not quite as good for the Knight Bus though, seems. Dad says the number of riders have been down real significantly, but hopefully it'll start going back up soon. Glad he's not driving anymore - I hear the shrunken heads are starting to revolt since not all the buses are running as much.
Soon as work calms down I want to take some time for myself. Get away from my husband. See some friends I haven't seen in a bit for lunch. Get out of Glasgow and Diagon. Anyone interested?
